The principal aim of the festival is to provide a public platform for performance in a friendly, relaxed yet competitive environment, to develop personal confidence whilst striving for success.

Equally important, all candidates know they will receive expert, unbiased and independent criticism of their efforts from carefully chosen, first class adjudicators who will ensure the maintenance of high standards.

HMYF owns over 200 cups and trophies, which are presented to our winners along with certificates and festival medals.
